Roy Griffith, 92, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2022, in Mount Vernon, WA.

He was born on March 20, 1930, in Pencer, MN. After Roy graduated from high school, he joined the army and proudly served his country in Korea. When he returned home, he met and married Elaine Lien in Spring Grove, MN on April 19, 1952. They moved to Torrance where he started working at Shell Chemical in the electric shop.  They had 3 sons: Bruce, David and Keith. He was transferred to Anacortes, WA and the family moved there for a short time before settling in Mount Vernon, WA for almost 50 years.

Roy is survived by sons Bruce (Janet) and David(Roxie), 6 grandkids Kenny, Sara, Josh, Stacy, Travis and Tyler, and 2 great grandkids, Olivia and River. He was preceded in death by his wife Elaine, son Keith, his parents and 3 brothers and 1 sister.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 1:00pm at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2:00pm at Hawthorne Memorial Park, Mount Vernon, WA.
