Obituary

Roy Wright Lower passed away January 8th, 2023. His memorial will be held at the Museum of Flight, Personal Courage Wing in Seattle, Washington on March 10th, 2023 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. The day would have been his 72nd birthday.

He leaves behind his wife, Ann Lower, of 49 years, and daughters Adrianna and Dominique as well as grandchildren; Logan, Harlan, Madeline, Penelope, Genevieve and Greyson. He is also survived by his Brother, Lynn, and sisters, Lou Ann and Lisa as well as countless whom loved, respected and cherished him as family, friend and mentor.

He had many achievements in life. He retired as a Lt. Col in the United States Air Force. He continued to serve with the National Archives and Records administration. He was a Nobel peace prize winner through his time as a United Nations Peace Keeper. He was a fellow at the Hoover Institute where his teaching extended beyond the Air Force academy where he graduated. His list of awards and accolades is endless. But his greatest achievement in life as he told it was his family. He never missed a chance to tell those he love them. He repeated daily how lucky he felt to have the love of his life. He was known for his quick wit and easy laugh. He was the "true north" to his classmates at the Academy. But he was the heart of our family.

Please join us for his memorial and honoring his legacy. The address is 9404 E Marginal Way S, Seattle, WA 98108.
