Shane Michael Gilbert age 41, passed away September 3, 2014 at his home in Sedro Woolley. He was born May 23, 2973 in Mount Vernon and was a life long Skagit County Resident. He attended Mount Vernon High School then went to Truck Driving School and was a Truck Driver since he was 20 years old, he enjoyed the last 4 years working at Arne Svendsen Trucking. He loved motorcycle riding all around the country from the northern tip of Alaska to Maine down to Mexico. He also enjoyed hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife; Tami, daughter; Georgia and many family and friends. Memorial may be made in his name to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation or to a scholarship at Bank of America for his daughter Georgia. Viewing will be held Monday, September 8, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon.
