Sheila Bushong, age 61, a resident of Mt. Vernon for three years, Bellingham for 32 years prior, passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Skagit Valley Hospital. Sheila was born September 28, 1949 in Everett, WA. She married her 'high school sweetheart' Mick Bushong in 1971 who became her lifetime love. They raised two children in Bellingham, Michael and Angela Bushong. Sheila was a devoted mother, wife, and friend. She was passionate person who expressed her gratitude to all she met. Sheila's greatest enjoyment was social outings with close friends and family, participating in her kids extracurricular activities, and cruising with her husband on their motorcycle to wherever the road may take them. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louie & Anna Owen. Sheila is survived by her husband, son, daughter, Mother-in-law, Nadine Bushong, two sisters, Kay & Shirley Owen, and brother, Richard (Dick) and his wife Joann Owen. At Sheila's request there will be no public funeral service. Family and Friends will join in a Remembrance of Life gathering held at a private location.
