Obituary

Sherman E. Roth was born on October 7, 1929 in Geneva, Indiana, to Chester and Rose (Reusser) Roth.  He went peacefully to be with the Lord on January 2, 2022.

He married Cosetta Steiner on December 27, 1952 and they enjoyed 69 wonderful years together.  He and Cosetta were affiliated with Arctic Missions in Alaska serving as youth and camp directors.  In 1964, Sherman took the position of career and guidance counselor at Maine Township High School in Park Ridge, Illinois.  After retiring from the school, he again returned to Alaska as principal of Grace Christian School.

He loved helping people!  He also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, camping, skiing, making model airplanes, and reading.  He loved using his hands working in the garage,  helping people with their projects and had a special heart for the persecuted church.  He served on many church and school boards and on missions committees as well.

Sherman is survived by his wife, Cosetta; his son, Timothy (Joanie) Roth; grandson, Samuel (Danae) Roth; grandson, Nicholas (Kelsey) Roth; granddaughter, Annie Roth and two great-grandchildren, William and Emerson Roth.
