Stephen Allan Jokisch

September 15, 1951- January 2, 2025

Stephen Jokisch a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother uncle, & friend passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025 with his loving family by his side.

Stephen was 73-years-old born September 15, 1951 in Seattle, Washington. Stephen grew up in Bellville, Illinois as one of nine children.

On June 4, 1977 he married the love of his life Janice Stokes and they shared an incredible 47 years of marriage together.  They built a life full of love and memories while they raised their two children, Craig Jokisch, and Kimberly Adams (Jeffrey) in Stanwood, Washington.  Stephen was the proud grandfather of Tylor Jokisch (Cylie), Lilly & Henry Adams, and Ashton Driver (Hope) and a delighted great-grandfather to Oliver Jokisch and Aurora Driver.

Stephen worked most of his career at various local boat building companies prior to his retirement from Janicki Industries in Hamilton, Washington.

Stephen was an accomplished Martial Artist earning his 4th Degree Black Belt in Sebukan Karate.  He dedicated many years to training as well as teaching the art in the community he called home for so many years Stanwood, Washington.

An Avid fisherman he found immense joy and peace on the water and often shared his skills with friends and family.  Steve lived on Big Lake for the last 20 years and could be found most early mornings having coffee on the dock while catching and releasing fish.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents Gertrude & Allan Jokisch, his brothers Anthony, Allan, Thomas, and sister Barbara.  He is survived by his loving wife Jan, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, remaining siblings, nieces, nephews, and countless friends whose life he touched deeply.

will be remembered for his warm smile, unwavering love for his family and the profound kindness he showed everyone he met.  Steve's legacy will live on in the hearts of all.
