Susan passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 6, 2013 in Mount Vernon, WA. She was born August 9, 1930 in Basin, Wyoming to Fred and Irene (Ackerman) Anderson her family then moved to Mukilteo, WA where she grew up and attended Everett High School. After graduating from high school she attended Washington State University where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and graduated with a degree in Education in 1952. After graduation she married her college sweetheart Arthur D. Feiro on August 2, 1952 and they moved to Port Angeles, WA to start their teaching careers. Susan taught first grade at Lincoln Elementary and always laughed about having 35 students in her very first class. Susan enjoyed keeping in touch with her Theta sisters and loved sister reunions. She was a long time resident and very active member in the Port Angeles community and her passions included Peninsula College and the Feiro Marine Lab. She never missed an opportunity to talk politics and rarely missed the weekly politics class at the Port Angeles Senior Center. Susan moved to Mount Vernon 4 years ago to be closer to her sons and her grandchildren. She loved visiting LaConner and the tulip fields. Susan is survived by her sons Mark (Kathy), and Douglas who both live in Mount Vernon. She is also survived by her grandson Eric and his fiancé Amanda Beernink and her daughter Malia of Sedro-Woolley and granddaughter Carly Feiro of Mount Vernon. She is preceded in death by her husband Arthur. There will be a graveside service at Ocean View Cemetery in Port Angeles, WA on Saturday February 16th 11am.
