Obituary

Susan was born in Seattle to her father Harold (Buzz) Tuller and mother Carol. She moved with her family, at an early age, from Seattle to Burlington where she attended Westview grade school and graduated from Burlington Edison High School, class of 1971. After graduation, Susan attended Highline Community College, graduating as a laboratory technician. She began working as a lab tech for Skagit Valley Labs and spent nearly 30 years with them, throughout the Labs many changes.

Susan loved gardening, fishing, camping, playing pool and going for motorcycle rides. Throughout her life, Susan met and touched the lives of many people. She loved and cared about them all and was, in turn, loved and cared for by them.

In 2011, Susan was diagnosed with cancer. She went through chemo and radiation treatments, losing her hair and nails. She suffered 3 different cancers and went through 9 different surgeries to remove cancers. In the 12 years she battled cancer she never lost her beautiful spirit and the love of her Lord and Savior, choosing not to talk about her problems instead focusing on the care, love and comfort of others around her.

The cancer diagnosis prevented Susan from returning to the workforce so instead of giving up, she turned to volunteering and for the last 4 years she was a part of the team at Skagit Valley Neighbors in Need food bank. She enjoyed the work and the people she worked with. She was happy to be able to contribute to helping and comforting others.

Susan is survived by her husband Michael, her sons, Owen and Trenton Blymyer, stepsons, Eli and Zachary Bullock, her brother, Halz and sisters, Jody Belisle and Annette Backstrom, along with numerous nieces and nephews and many friends and LOVES. Susan will be greatly missed by all! She was preceded in death by her father Buzz, her mother Carol and older sister Diana (Dee).

Rest in peace gentle spirit, in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

A Celebration of  Life will be held for Susan on January 7, from 2pm to 5pm at the Burlington Eagles.
