Ted McSpadden age 92 passed away March 28, 2012 in Mount Vernon, WA he was born October 11, 1919 in Whitebird, ID. As a child Ted and his family moved to Susanville, CA and the relocated to Port Angeles, WA where he graduated from High School. Following High School he attended University of Washington majoring in Business. He married Bernice Montgomery of Port Angeles in 1941. After his discharge from the Army in 1945, he returned to work with his father's logging operation in Marblemount, WA. As his family began to grow they moved to Mount Vernon and started working in Agriculture. He became the general office manager for Pictsweet Frozen Foods, which became Stokley-VanCamp until his retirement at age 62. He liked to golf, was a private pilot for many years, traveled to the southwest for many winters, building and flying radio controlled airplanes in his later years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mount Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents Blanche (McDonald) and Arthur McSpadden and his wife of 68 years, Bernice in 2009. He is survived by his four children Nancy (Ron) Sager of Mount Vernon, Bruce McSpadden of Sedro Woolley, Janet (Steve) Haase of Pasco, and Diane Barry of Mount Vernon, 8 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. At his request there will be no services. A private family gathering will be held at a later time. Memorials in his name may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Mount Vernon.
