Tony Franulovich passed away at his home September 2, 2017 with his wife Lorna and family at his side.  Tony was born in Croatia May 13, 1931 the son of Pavao Franulovich and Katherine (Berkovic) Franulovich.

He came to America and became a citizen.  He was a proud Marine serving most of his time in Korea.  After his return home he became a commercial fisherman.  He fished all over the world—Alaska, Hawaii, Gulf of Mexico and the South Pacific.  He loved the open sea and travelled four times through the Panama Canal and also crossed the Equator.

He is survived by children Tony Jr., Pauline (Bob) Clark, Suzanne (Bob) Chmiel, Deanna (Dean) Hagg, Michelle (Alex) Kalogeropoulous, Lisa Franulovich, Chris (Rachel) Franulovich.

In 1987 he married Lorna (Morse) Summers and gained three step-children, Jim (Vivian) Summers, Kathleen (Bill) Corrow, Dan Summers.  Also he had many grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother Rudy Franulovich, sister Miloyka Stambuk, a special God-daughter Tina Franulovich Martin.

He was predeceased by his parents Pavao and Katherine, brother Paul, brother-in-law Stanley Stambuk and an infant son.

Services will be Thursday September 7 ^th 2017, 4-5 pm viewing followed by Rosary in the chapel at Hawthorne Funeral Home, 1825 E College Way Mt Vernon, WA.  Friday September 8 ^th 2017 @ 10:30 am Funeral Mass will be held at St Charles Catholic Church, 935 Peterson Rd. Burlington, WA followed by burial at Bayview Cemetery and fellowship at Bayview Community Center.  Donations can be made to St Charles Catholic Church or charity of your choice.
