Vada A. Harlan 1921-2007 Vada Harlan 85, a resident of Sedro-Woolley, WA. passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Vada was born on May 7, 1921 in Denver, Co. The beloved youngest of Andrew Jackson Loy and Clara Jones of Otis, CO. Vada met Clifton Harlan in Denver, CO. and later married in Goodland, Kansas on May 29, 1941 Through the years they resided in CO., NV., UT., and came to reside in WA. for the last 20 years. Vada was a devoted homemaker, taking great pride in her family. Vada and Clif with their six girls loved to go camping and fishing. Vada is survived by her five daughters, son-in-laws and their families. Clara McKay of Alger, WA., Grace and Lester Petersen of Selah, WA., Jennie Harlan of Ogden, UT., Jim Allen of Ogden, UT., Patti Harlan and Lew Peters of Marysville, WA., Sandy and Rich Kowell of Mount Vernon, WA., and 16 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Vada was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Clara Loy, sisters-Lila Whitaker, Lousie Dunn, brothers-Herman Loy, Brant Loy, Brock Loy, Husband of 58 years Clifton Harlan, daughter- Phyllis Allen, son-in-laws-Gary McKay, Larry Manke, great-grandchildren-Eugne and Eternity. Special thanks for the wonderful, loving care, friendship and affection of the staff at Birchview Memory Care in Sedro-Woolley where Vada resided for the past 2 1/2 years.
