Obituary

Virginia F. Cartwright, 90, passed away May 25, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born in Williamsville, Missouri March 6, 1928 to Loy and Inda Moore. Virginia met the love of her life David Cartwright and the two were married June 2, 1945. Together they raised five boys and one girl at their family home in Lake McMurray, WA. They were married 63 years before David passed away in 2008.
Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a homemaker whose life revolved around her children and grandchildren. She loved garage sales and had quite a collection of shoes. She loved long drives, wildlife, and camping on the logging roads where her an David did fire watch. Virginia loved road trips to eastern Washington to see her sisters and also made a couple of trips back to Missouri to visit loved ones.
But most of all her passion was her children and grandchildren. She loved family get together's and fed you even if you weren't hungry, you were eating. Virginia enjoyed cooking and no one could copy her corn bread made in an iron skillet, fried chicken, pork and beans. mom also enjoyed her recipe handed down from her mother "Ola's" raw apple cake. It was truly the best. She loved having her grandkids stay overnight when they were little and helping grandpa mow the lawn and the kids loved getting a few tractor rides. She always had the last laugh because the grandkids never wanted to go home. Virginia and David loved to come visit the grandkids and cover them with kisses. Mom worried enough for all of us whenever we took a road trip we got a list of no no's to look out for with the kids. She loved to hear all the stories of the kid's mishaps and fortunes.
Our mom will be dearly missed and never forgotten but we are happy she is with dad and Lloyd.
Virginia was preceded in death by Husband David of 63 years, son Lloyd, sister Delores and her mother and father.
Virginia is survived by her children Dennis Cartwright, Mike (Theodachia) Cartwright, Jeff Cartwright, Christine (Jim) Bradburn, Greg (Tamie) Cartwright. Grandchildren Billy Jean Cartwright, Trisda and Chase Barber, Cody and Cory Bradburn, Gus Cartwright, Logan, Austin, and Mathew Cartwright, Lindsey Cartwright, and Zoe Cartwright.
