Our beautiful mother passed peacefully in her sleep May 18, 2022.

Virginia Lee Williams was born in Santa Ana, California, on February 5, 1928, to Mel and Mary Head.

Having been coerced into a blind date, Virginia met the love of her life, Bob Williams.  They married in 1948 and moved from Orange, California, in 1963 to Mt Vernon.  In 2018 they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Mom was a lady of many talents as well as a very strong Christian.  In addition to raising three children and maintaining their home, she worked by Dad's side managing his art business and acted too as his professional framer.

Gardening was her passion.  You could see her at all hours of the day planting, throwing weeds about or gathering pinecones.  Peonies, Lupine and Daffodils were her favorites.  With the back pasture and an orchard, she created a peaceful, park worthy landscape, enjoyed by many.

Mom could sew anything, could knit with her eyes closed, made many hand braided rugs and embroidered beautiful hardanger tablecloths and runners.

She was a wonderful cook; our meals were always home cooked.  And she probably made every cookie recipe known to mankind.

Mom could be stubborn but fair.  If you were in trouble with her and could make a quick joke getting her to laugh, you would be safe.  She will be remembered as a tough but loving lady, beautiful inside and out.  She filled our hearts with her smile where it will remain always.

Mom is preceded in death by her husband, Bob and her daughter, Jill.

She is survived by her daughter, Nan Rosinbum (Mark), son Stan (Becky), son-in-law, Kim, five grandchildren, Savahn, Alex (Laura), Travis (Rikki), Marlee and Sally and three great grandchildren, Simone, Arlo, and Johnny Rambo.

To honor her request, there will be no service.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of The Northwest.
