Wayne Leonard Clayton passed away June 5 ^th . 2018 in Mount Vernon, WA. Wayne was born May 22 ^nd 1944 in Pasco Wa. to Bernice and Clarence Clayton. Wayne graduated from Lewiston High School, in Idaho 1962. Attended 2 years at Pacific Lutheran University then completed his education at the University of Idaho graduating with a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Wayne worked for Boeing as a Flight Deck Engineer for 37 years until he retired in 2004. He then went to work building his dream home on Camano Island to live his golden years on the waters edge.

Wayne loved his boating days on the Puget Sound riding his Gold Wing motorcycle, hunting with his buddies every fall and traveling Mexico, Hawaii parts of Europe and the British Isles . He was also a master carpenter and loved working in his shop. Wayne was preceded in death by his father Clarence Clayton and infant son Sean Paul Clayton Wayne is survived by his wife Bette, stepdaughter Courtney Colacino ( Billy LaValley.) Brother Bob (Carman) Clayton nephews Brian(Dana), Chris Clayton and mother BernieceThompson, daughters Cheryl (Robert) Olwell, Rhonda Clayton, granddaughters Audrey,Claire,Alex, great grandsons Aden and Connor Bette would like to thank Ashley Gardens Memory Care in Mt Vernon Wa.for the loving care they provided to Wayne for the last 4 ½ years, as well as the Skaget Valley Hospice Accoc.
