William H. Handstad of Mount Vernon, WA passed away on Saturday, September 11 2021 at the age of 87.  Bill was born November 1, 1934 to Herbert Hans Handstad and Roxie Marie (Poldervart) Handstad. He grew up on a dairy farm in Mount Vernon but was schooled in La Conner.

Bill worked as a Title Officer/LPO for Ticor Title for 30+ years. After retirement he and his wife Judy loved to spend time at the beach in Seaside, Oregon rollerblading and biking on the boardwalk, keeping his flower garden in impeccable order and backyard birdwatching.

Bill was preceeded in death by his loving wife of 52 years Mary "Judy" (Smith) Handstad, his sister Betty Carole Grobschmit, and his parents.

He is survived by his daughters Kathi Handstad and Karen Handstad, who will miss him greatly, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation may be made to your favorite charity.
