Beloved husband, father and friend was called to his heavenly home on 02/28/18. Bill was born and raised in Mt Vernon, graduating from Mt Vernon High School. He served in the Army and the Vietnam War, attended Skagit Valley College and Bellingham Technical College. His profession was a appliance technician, where he was the best in the business. Bill loved being outdoors gold mining, fishing and hiking. He loved spending time with family and was adored by his grandchildren. Bill touched so many lives during his time here on earth. Bill is survived by his wife Kathy McIlraith; two sons: Shawn (Colleen) McIlraith and Daniel (Tessa) McIlraith; daughter: Angela (Josh) Freeman; Grandchildren: Savannah Halverson, Audrey McIlraith, Landon and Braden Freeman; Brother: David McIlraith; Sister: Diane (Jim) Murphy; Niece: Jessika West, Michelle Murphy; Nephew; Michael Murphy. There will be a private graveside service for family at Hawthorne Funeral Home in Mt Vernon.
