Obituary

William (Bill) Thomas Taylor passed away on May 15, 2017 at Prestige Care and Rehab in Burlington, Washington. Bill was born on September 2, 1953 to William and Clara Taylor. He grew up on a dairy farm in West Mount Vernon and, in spite of the challenges of epilepsy, graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1971. After graduation, he worked for several years in various occupations for the disabled.

He has resided at Prestige Care for the past 17 years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Clara, and brother-in-law, Wally Elliott. He is survived by his four sisters, Jeanette Elliott of Sedro Woolley, Shirley (Larry) Brown of Burlington, Betty (Will) Burroughs of Burlington, and Judy (Bill) Hoogendoorn of Burbank WA. He is also survived by his special friend and outing partner, Heidi Unick, of Ferndale and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff at Prestige Care for the many years of loving care they provided Bill and the compassionate support they provided to the family during his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 at 1:00PM at Hawthorne Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, WA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Prestige Care Activity Fund at 1036 E Victoria Avenue, Burlington WA. 98233
